He has been teaching full-time for over seventeen years and before that worked in the construction industry for over 25 years in a variety of positions to include laborer, 卡彭特, 木匠领班, 负责人, 项目经理, 以及业主代表. He is retired from the Army/Army Reserves with 20+ years of service. Dr. 二粒小麦 is a member of the American Council for 建设 教育 (ACCE), the American Society of 首页 Inspectors (ASHI), United States Green Building Council (USGBC), Association for the Advancement of Cost 工程 (AACE), the Associated 学校 for 建设 (ASC) and Building Materials Reuse Association (BMRA).

Dr. 二粒小麦 teaches a wide variety of construction courses to include introduction to construction management, 建筑设备, 先进的评估, and mechanical/electrical systems for construction managers. Dr. 二粒小麦 has been active in incorporating sustainability and building information modeling (BIM) topics within the construction management curriculum across a wide variety of classes. Dr. 二粒小麦 is also active in a number of student groups and coaches the commercial team for the Associated 学校 of 建设 Region 1 conference.
